Well....after a great brewing session using my Model T to step through a mash while maintaining HLT temp, I think I bricked my Model T. One of the sensors got a little too close to the flame and shorted out the unit. The screen went black came back on after I unplugged it but now the screen is locked and it's not connecting to the wifi. Still takes the temperature readings from both inputs but that is all. Any easy fixes or am I toast?
So it sounds like the unit still kinda works except for touch input and wifi connection? Im sure you have tried power cycling it.
You can try and take a quick video of it and upload it here if you would like that may help diagnose what is going on.
You could try resetting the touch calibration as well. Might bring touch back.
Videos aren't allowed on the site so I put it up on YouTube Model T locked screen.
I'll see if I can calibrate the screen tonight. Just found that thread.
Ya it looks like the screen just needs to have the calibration reset.
That did the trick. Lost the screen calibration and wifi settings. Whew! Now just need to fix the cable which I think I can easily do with my CAT3 crimper at work.
Thanks for the help
