Oh yeah! I worked my way through the vague steps to set up the programmer and got everything working. I've flashed one of my devices with the v1.1.0 build and back to the v1.0.0 build and back again to v1.1.0. Now I'm totally in business and I believe the Ubuntu setup steps are completely accurate.
Man, soldering those 1.27 mm pins takes a steady hand and a fine tip...
One thing I ran into was that I've got the Olimex programmer. The instructions didn't cover building OpenOCD for that, the USB device permissions script didn't have the entries for the Olimex, and there was a trick I caught in the Makefile. I've updated your instructions so take a look and make sure I didn't make anything more confusing. I've also submitted a pull request for the update to include the USB device permissions entry.
I'm super excited at this point because I can truly go to town on my device. Thanks for making this thing completely open!
I hope you guys are excited about getting some more pull requests because I'm going to be dropping them hot and heavy.
