The crashing bug that's causing frequent resets on devices has made ramping functions useless on BrewBits. (See Ramping Function Has Steps topic.)
Two examples from current sessions:
https://brewbit.com/dashboard/devices/694/sessions/12050?token=6cc12a12009c4724cc223d3b117a61f1
This first one was supposed to ferment for three days before ramping the temp smoothly but it took six days and the ramping has jittered back and forth.
and:
https://brewbit.com/dashboard/devices/695/sessions/12051?token=3b6e2c45d8f641d18fc07e7a33104208
This second one was supposed to steadily rise over 6 days but it's been bouncing around for almost two weeks without reaching the target.
From that other topic it sounds like not everyone is running into this problem. I have two devices that both show the problem so I suspect it has something to do with some old data on the devices perhaps from one of the unstable release builds that I've installed in the past.
Which gets me to my question. Is there a way to hard reset and clear all data from the devices so I can reinstall everything from scratch? I did the reset by holding down the touchscreen but when the device reverted the firmware and rebooted it remembered my wifi credentials so it clearly didn't reset everything.
I'm really looking for any solution to get these working again otherwise they basically become overpriced static temperature controllers.
